Airways Aviation Australia is a leading destination for aviation education, with ideal flying conditions in beautiful, sunny Queensland and Northern New South Wales, we have a reputation of providing world-class teaching at our ultra-modern training facilities.

Airways Aviation Australia is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), approved by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), and a Commonwealth-registered CRICOS provider meaning that we are able to enrol international students. We are proud to be a CASA Part 141 and Part 142 training provider and hold a CASA Air Operators Certificate.

We offer a number of nationally accredited training programs together with CASA licences and rating certifications.

Through our partnerships and articulation agreements, Airways Aviation Australia is pleased to work with Central Queensland University (SCU), Griffith University, Southern Cross University (SCU), Tafe Queensland, and Tafe New South Wales, providing students with a choice of options to enhance their career opportunities.

Our Campuses

Gold Coast Academy

The Gold Coast Academy is our Australian headquarters. Located approximately 70 km south of Brisbane and just minutes from the iconic Surfers Paradise and beautiful beaches. Situated within the Gold Coast International Airport precinct, the academy offers immediate access to high-quality infrastructure, accommodation, dining, and community services.

The Gold Coast enjoys superb flying conditions year-round, with some of the best weather during the winter months, making this an ideal environment for your aviation training.

The Gold Coast Academy is a world-class learning facility with classrooms, simulators, briefing and operations rooms. It boasts stunning views from its student lounge that overlooks the international runway. Students can watch the jets flying in and out whilst relaxing in the student lounge. The academy also has its own aircraft engineering department where students can get up close to gain a good view of the rigours of maintenance and safety.

The Archerfield Academy is located at Archerfield Airport in Brisbane, just a short distance from Brisbane International Airport. The campus offers ultra-modern training facilities, with classrooms, briefing rooms and student lounge. It has on-site accommodation available, and is close to Brisbane City, providing convenient access to further housing options, numerous restaurants, entertainment, and essential services.

Archerfield Airport offers an ideal environment for flight training. It combines a rich aviation history with contemporary infrastructure. Its controlled airspace provides valuable experience without the congestion of a major international airport, ensuring efficient scheduling and maximised flight hours. Students benefit from varied weather conditions, quality runways, and access to experienced instructors.

Our Lismore campus is located at Lismore Regional Airport which is in the very picturesque Northern New South Wales region. Lismore offers students a peaceful and natural environment for their learning, while maintaining proximity to larger regional hubs.

The airport has minimal air traffic, consistent weather patterns, making it an ideal location and setting for students who are in the early stages of their pilot training. Students’ complete theory training at the Gold Coast Academy, a shuttle bus is provided to shuttle students to and from the Lismore campus to complete the practical flight training component.
